www.afnews.info segnala: Paul Murry (born 25 November 1911 – 4 August 1989, USA) was an animator, cartoonist, and comics artist.
His career began as an animator at Walt Disney Studios, where also drew some of the newspaper-strip adaptations of animated shorts and features.
In 1946, he left the studio and went to work at Western Publishing drawing Disney characters in comic books, which he continued to do until 1984.
At the time, Western was producing comics for Dell and his first stories were in “Walt Disney’s Comics and Stories” and in “Four Color” issues. Western would later publish Disney comics themselves and then under their Gold Key imprint.
From the 1950s to the 1970s, Murry was a preëminent artist on Mickey Mouse stories, particularly those featuring Goofy. He was the first to draw ‘Super Goof’ (1965).
