www.afnews.info segnala: Robert Crumb (born 30 August 1943, USA) is an artist, illustrator, and musician recognized for the distinctive style of his drawings and his critical, satirical, subversive view of the American mainstream.
His work is enjoyed by a wide audience that has become familiar with ‘Fritz the Cat’, ‘Mr. Natural’, and the ‘Keep on Truckin’’ strip.
He has also influenced other artists around the world, both in graphic style and by the example of his willingness to explore taboo ideas and images.
Fellow artist Aline Kominsky-Crumb (born 1 August 1948) is his wife. Fellow artist Sophie Crumb (born 27 September 1981) is his daughter.
Crumb received the Grand Prix at Angoulême in 1999. He was one of six artists featured in the ‘Masters of American Comics’ exhibition at the Jewish Museum in New York City (2006–2007).

www.afnews.info segnala: Jacques Tardi (born 26 August 1946, France) is a well-known and influential European artist. He began his career in 1969 illustrating stories by writers such as Jean Giraud, and created his first series in 1972.
A Tardi innovation was to add a more realistic look to the Clear Line style. From 1976, he created stories about Adèle Blanc-Sec, a young woman in early-20th Century Paris who solves supernatural mysteries in a world that is both fantastic and realistic.
He has received and been nominated for awards in many countries, from Angoulême to the Eisners.
